Clean Mining, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clean Earth Technologies Group, has completed metallurgical test work for Genesis Resources Limited “Genesis”) at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Perth, Australia, with results of five samples of ore from the North Macedonian Plavica Gold-Copper-Silver mine project demonstrating average Gold recovery rates of between 80-85%. With the Clean Mining’s non-toxic, non-flammable, gold recovery reagent, it is worthwhile to note that the bulk of the recovery occurred within the first 4 hours.
Through the latest metallurgical testing work for Genesis as well as results gained from previous tests, the Clean Earth Technologies Group has successfully validated its cost-effective process to replace cyanide with a non-toxic reagent that dissolves fine gold out of ores into a solution. This technology is suitable for greenfield mine locations as well as existing mining projects where cyanide is no longer preferred or banned.
Mr. Kevin Fell, Group CEO of Clean Earth Technologies Group, said: “The excellent ore-testing results from Genesis Resources’ North Macedonian Plavica project clearly demonstrate the viability and potential of our award-winning, non-toxic solution for the gold mining industry. Further tests are planned at the North Macedonian Plavica project and we look forward to expanding the adoption of our clean solution to mining operators all over the world.”
Clean Mining’s award-winning, non-toxic gold recovery reagent has won top honours at the prestigious 2019 Mining Magazine Awards. As a cyanide-free and mercury-free product, mining operators will be able to extract gold in a safe, sustainable, and financially viable manner. Coupled with Clean Mining’s recovery and dewatering solutions, mining operators will have the option to produce dry-stack tailings that can be stored safely, further reducing the mining footprint and geotechnical risks of massive dams that store wet tailings.
“Scalable for both large and small-scale operations, we have found that in most cases our technology has a similar performance to cyanide. However, when you look at all the overall end to end process and its comparative all-inclusive operating costs, our solution is no more expensive than cyanide. With our tests to-date together with our market analysis, we feel that our product has not only a clear financial value proposition but also an environmental one in being able to reduce the environmental risk and footprint of mining with a non-toxic option for miners,” added Mr Fell.
